For sale I have a lovely piece of carnival glass made by the Dugan Glass Company of Indiana, Pa. The shape is a rose bowl and the pattern is known as Grape Delight. The rose bowl measures approximately 3 7/8" tall and is 4 7/8" in diameter.
This rose bowl displays round, plump grape clusters in raised relief and finely detailed and stippled leaves. There is also a trailing vine weaving above the clusters. This rose bowl has 8 crimped ruffles at the top rim and 6 block style feet. The iridescence on this lovely piece is electric. You can see strong hues of fuchsia, blue and gold on the exterior that has almost a gold mirror effect. The interior also has a brilliant iridescent finish.
The rose bowl is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, chips, nicks or dings. The piece is unsigned but guaranteed to be Dugan's Grape Delight. This rose bowl was made circa 1904-1913.
